History of the Group
Parakou Group is a well-established company with shipping as its core business. The Chairman, Mr. C.C. Liu, founded Parakou Shipping Limited in 1985 in Hong Kong. Starting with ship management, shipping agency and chartering business, the company continues to expand and enrich its shipping activities to a more diversified group of business with extended activities towards ship owning, terminal and storage, crew management, new building services, supplies and port services etc.
To cope with the development, a number of branches and representative offices are set up at strategic positions like Singapore, Beijing, Qingdao, Shanghai and Manila.
Facing the ever-tightening regulations and severe competition, Parakou emphasizes the importance of good management and training. Through many years of active new-building orders, unblemished repayment records and gaining experiences in ship management, Parakou Group has gained high recognition in the shipping industry and among bankers both local and overseas.
